Iluminarc, a new U.S.-based lighting company owned by Chauvet & Sons Inc., will launch a product line this week at Lightfair. The line will consist of more than 20 products featuring LED technology, all of which, according to the manufacturer, are ETL listed and meet or exceed industry standards for architects, lighting specifiers, and system integrators. Their website (iluminarc.com) will launch this week as well.
Traxon Technologies has opened a sales office in Los Angeles, which gives the company a dedicated office to serve clients on the West Coast. Rita Weinberg has been named senior sales manager, West Coast Region. Ariel Meir has been named director of technical sales.
PerkinElmer, a company that focuses on products in the health and safety fields, is releasing a new fiber optic illuminator that is brighter than a 150W halogen, yet uses half the power. Exhibited at this year's Lightfair, the illuminator couples high-intensity white light into 3- to 10-mm fiber optic bundles. The company says this can be used for various applications, including endoscopy, microscopy, and machine vision. For more information on PerkinElmer's LED lighting choices, visit their website.
