The ground floor of the Ryerson Image Centre has  been made as transparent as possible to link it to the street, and adjoin  public spaces with the primary public spaces of the new building.

At night the façade comes to life via the portion of the façade: programmable LED backlit panels that change color.

During the day, when the LED panels are not in  operation, they read as a white glass fritted curtainwall.
