Lightfair will once again offer a robust lineup of education offerings during its 2014 conference and tradeshow. Classes are divided into four categories: Lightfair Institute Courses, Lightfair Institute Workshops, seminars, and forums. The Lightfair Institute Courses, held June 1 - 2, are day-long classes that cover topics such as basic lighting, daylighting fundamentals, and computer aided lighting design. The Lightfair Institute Workshops, also held June 1 – 2, are half-day education offerings on topics such as design strategies for different project types, photometry, lighting controls, and LED technology.
From June 3 – 5, during the trade show segment of Lightfair, more than 35 seminars will be offered. These 90 minute sessions provide an overview to myriad lighting topics and are organized into four themes: Inspiration, Technology and Tools, Problem Solving, and Integrated Design.
New for 2014 will be the addition of two lighting forums; held June 3 – 4, one will focus on healthcare and one will focus on hospitality. The subject of the forum keynote is “The Wellness Revolution: The Next Driver of the Lighting Industry,” and will be presented by Dr. Michael Roizan, Chief Wellness Officer at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, and The Honorable Richard Gephardt of Gephardt Government Affairs.
