The IALD Education Trust has announced a “Call for Interest” for individuals who are interested in applying for two Board of Directors positions. Both positions are for Director at Large, and each is for a two-year term. The IALD Education Trust describes the post as:
“A Director at Large may come from any background, although it is suggested that a lighting industry background is most relevant. Directors at Large for the IALD Education Trust are not required to be members of the IALD. The IALD Education Trust Board of Directors is charged with governing the affairs of the IALD Education Trust and setting the organization's strategic direction. Board members are fiduciaries of the corporation. Directors are expected to participate in at least two meetings each year.”
There are two ways to apply. You can nominate someone or self-nominate. In both cases, applicants must submit, in writing, an intent to apply and fill out the IALD Education Trust Board of Directors Call for Interest Form, which is accessed via the following link: http://iald.me/ialdtrustelections.
Full details about the two positions including an overview of the general responsibilities and guidelines and the application process is also available via the above link. All questions regarding this initiative should be addressed to IALD Education Trust Coordinator Jill Mulholland at email@example.com. The IALD Education Trust Call for Interest deadline is Mon. April 14, 2014.
