GE Lighting has announced the three finalists shortlisted for the 31st Annual GE Edison Award. The projects are:
Dallas City Performance Hall, Dallas; Lighting Designer: Schuler Shook, Chicago
This 750-seat performing arts venue serves as a gateway to the Dallas Arts District.
Global Investment Firm, San Francisco; Lighting Designer: Banks|Ramos Architectural Lighting Design, San Francisco
This renovated and expanded headquarters for an investment banking firm is located on the 52nd floor of a San Francisco landmarked skyscraper.
Herscher Hall at the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles; Lighting Designer: Lam Partners, Cambridge, Mass.

“The overall quality of submissions we received is among the highest ever,” said Mary Beth Gotti, manager of the GE Lighting Institute. “The designs incorporate a combination of LED and traditional light source solutions, indicative of the timing of the completion of these projects. They showcase the efforts of some of the world’s most talented lighting design teams and demonstrate how energy-efficient solutions can also excite, impress and inspire.” The winner will be announced during the GE Edison Award ceremony on Mon. June 2 in Las Vegas held during Lightfair.
