The Dept. of Energy’s (DOE) Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) Program is currently accepting applications for the 2015 spring semester at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The program at ORNL is administered by Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), a consortium of major Ph.D.–granting academic institutions, through a contract with the DOE to manage the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education.
The paid internship provides students the opportunity to work alongside leading national laboratory scientists and engineers over a 16 week period, from early January 2015 through mid-April 2015. The SULI program is sponsored by the DOE Office of Science’s Office of Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists. The DOE also offers the spring SULI program at 11 other participating national laboratories in addition to ORNL. The application deadline for the SULI program is 5:00p.m. EST on Oct. 7, 2014. Full details, including eligibility requirements, are available on the program’s website.
