Lighting designer Christopher Cheap has started his own lighting practice in New York City. The name of the new firm is Dot Dash a nod to the conceptual design start of a lighting project where luminaires are represented in sketch notation as dots and dashes. Prior to opening his own office, Cheap was a principal with Tillotson Design Associates. The parting is completely amicable.
Dot Dash will offer a full range of design services with particular focus on the foundational analysis of project requirements all the way through to systems integration and on-site construction administration.
