Luraline Lighting announced that Marissa Gomez from the University of Okla. won it's seventh annual "It's Your Light" student design competition. Gomez will receive $1,500 for her Prism Light made up of irregular shapes and sharp angles Luraline says is "reminiscent of shards of glass that have been put back together." Made by folding a single piece of recyclable acrylic, the fixture is lit by a second-color LED lamp that continuously changes the lights' colors. This year's theme was "Lighting of the Future. " Luraline will issue the call for entries for the eighth annual competition in September 2008.
