Lighting control s and connectivity solutions company Leviton, has acquired Anaheim, Calif.-based LED luminaire manufacturer Intense Lighting. The acquisition will expand Leviton’s product offerings with Intense’s addition of “specification-grade LED lighting solutions for the commercial, hospitality, supermarket, retail, and residential markets.”
In a prepared statement, Don Hendler, president and chief executive officer of Leviton said, “Leviton’s acquisition of Intense Lighting continues our commitment to strategic growth and innovation as we bring yet another established brand into the Leviton family of product offerings.
According to the press release, “Intense Lighting will operate as a new, standalone business unit and maintain operations in Anaheim. The new business unit will be managed by Kenny Eidsvold, current president of Intense Lighting, who will report directly to Daryoush Larizadeh, chief operating officer of Leviton.
Intense Lighting will continue its luminaire and customer focus in the commercial, retail and hospitality sectors. Each entity “…will maintain their separate agent networks and distribution channels to ensure that customers continue to receive the attention and service they’ve come to expect.
