Artemide will be the main sponsor for the American premiere of Gomorrah, Italy's official submission to the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 81st Annual Academy Awards. The event, to be held Nov. 11, 2009, at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., also is sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Italian Film Commission, the American Cinematheque of Los Angeles, and IFC Films.

WAC Lighting has announced that its manufacturing campus in QingXi, DonGuan, China, is a zero-landfill plant. The Clean ISO 9001-certified plant recycles and reuses everything from its manufacturing process and recycles water and wastewater on site for landscaping. This follows president Tony Wang's announcement that the on-site testing laboratories have received UL certification as a Witness Test Data Program, which allows the manufacturer to certify products onsite with a UL engineering representative.

Kim Lighting has GreenWise to help commercial building owners, specifiers, and contractors reduce energy costs and address environmental concerns with outdoor lighting. The program is an initiative of Kim Lighting's parent company, Hubbell Lighting, to address sustainability and energy needs for lighting retrofits, government specifications, and industrial distribution.
