OSRAM Opto Semicondusctors has hired Elke Eckstein as chief operating officer, replacing Jörg Thäle, who is now the chief executive officer of parent-company OSRAM's low pressure discharge business unit. Eckstein comes from the global semiconductor company AMD, where she was vice president of manufacturing.
Schréder Lighting USA has appointed Eric Hardesty as sales engineer where he will be responsible for coordinating engineering products for special and custom applications. He joins Schréder from Ruud Lighting.
Vista Lighting has hired Kevin Ensign as regional sales manager for the central region, including Pennsylvania; West Virginia; Ohio; Michigan; Wisconsin; Illinois; Missouri; Minnesota; Indiana; Iowa; North Dakota; South Dakota; Nebraska; and Ontario, Canada.
Lutron has joined the Allied Manufacturers of Motorized Products consortium as a founding member. The alliance was founded in November 2007 to generate awareness of motorization products in the home.
Ciralight has moved into new offices in North Salt Lake, Utah, consolidating operations from its Texas offices in Park City and Plano. The 18,000-square-foot building houses the administration, sales and marketing, light manufacturing, research and development, and product testing departments.
